Salema -
voted 2nd Best Beach in Portugal
|
The
coveted ' Blue Flag' award shows that the water meets all European standards of cleanliness. It has
also been voted 2nd best beach in Portugal by a European Travel
magazine.
A typical Portuguese village with its wide, sheltered bay making the long stretch of beach ideal
for swimming.
The beach, with its indigenous fishing fleet of traditional brightly coloured boats, is a delight
to behold - their catches of bream, mackerel, sardines and sea bass often appearing in the local
restaurants the same day.
